Ron and Shelley are your welcoming hosts at the Eagle Point Caravan Park. The family friendly park is set on 6 hectares of land within a stones throw of beautiful Lake King in East Gippsland.
The
Park is only minutes away from the busy city of Bairnsdale and three and a half
hours easy drive east of Melbourne along the Princes Highway.
This idyllic setting is where you can fish, water
ski, swim, bush walk, sail, surf ski, play a round of golf or just take a load
off your feet and enjoy the pleasant surrounds.
While it is great to have a boat
for water sports in the lake, the Mitchell River is very close at hand to enable
the angler to enjoy catching Bream, Flathead, Garfish and other species of fish
from off the bank and without the need to travel for miles to wet a line.
If this is still not enough for you, walk among the
kangaroos in the adjacent fauna park reserve and
see these animals in their
natural environment.
The silt jetties (known as an isthmus), at the mouth
of the Mitchell River, is the 2nd longest in the world, second only to the
isthmus at the mouth of the Mississippi River in the U.S. (click on the
thumbnail to see the view, it will take a while to load but is well worth the
wait).
Park amenities include a Childs play area, mini golf,
games room, fully equipped campers kitchen, cabins, clean and modern amenities
blocks, swimming pool and licensed camp shop/office where you can purchase many items.
No pets allowed within the park.
